Public Reviews

Here are some reviews of our recent play by members of the public.

Respected Surinder Dhanoa jee, Raj Budwal, Jaswinder  Dhanoa jee

Sat Siri Akal to You and all actors of your team.
I have watched all of your presentations and they are superb.  In my opinion Surinder Dhanoa makes them great through his incredible acting and his directorial skills.  His ability to get his team of actors to perform at the highest levels is testament to him as a director and crew.  It was obvious that all the actors take their craft serious, as it shows in there convincing portraits of the characters.  This is not just my opinion it was obvious that the realistic portrayial achieved by the actors touched many people in the audience, which was evident by the deep emotional response by so many.

All the actors were cast well in their roles, and the story line was very coherent as he covered everything that happens in the villages of India.

Jaswinder Danoa is an excellent actress and can perform all type of rolls, she was superb in the mother roll and when she played the “wife” character I felt as if she was a different actress.   Master Gian singh was a perfect fit for the father’s roll, and his son who always dreams to fly to America. The taxi driver looked and performed his roll very well, responsible and as a native guardian roll. During the scene where he says to girl’s husband, “if you say these words in India I will cut you into pieces, but here law tied my hands”. The realism portrayed made me feel as if they were not acting. Mr. Dhanoa ability to pull several different characters out of each of his actors is a testament to his brilliance.  Malu Ram was very fit for his roll. Nai performed his roll well.  After every scene the entire theater applauded in appreciation of the actors abilities.

Surinder Dhanoa can make an actor to any raw hand man. His commitment to the arts is proven by the hard work he must commit to each actor, until he is satisfied with their portal of the character.  This hard work is proven in many scenes.  One act which was very memorable was the village scene where the elderly ladies son, who lived in America and the daughter-in-law did not care, her facial expressions made me feel as if I was witnessing real life.

In real life Mr. Surinder Singh Dhanoa is very responsible and wonderful man who helps many poor and people in need. This is the example of true Sikh. Gurbani say “ghal khai kush hatho deh, Nanak rah pachhane se. At the closing of the show Mr. Surinder Singh Dhanoa donated a portion of his proceeds to “Sahaita fund” to Dr. Sandhu.

As a Sikh I am proud of him and he makes me proud to be a Sikh. He strives to do better and better, an example for others, which not everyone can obtain.  I say he is very good man. When he introduced the all actors everyone likes his style.

My best wishes for everyone in the cast and crew, to future success in up and coming projects that I know our community will learn from, be educated in, grow as a people, and most importantly enjoy.
Sincerely,
Sukhdev Singh Mundian
